Set in the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, The Bazaar is the culmination of a 30-year dream for Chef José Andrés. Drawing inspiration from this iconic location, which first opened in 1899 and served as DC’s General Post Office until 1914, The Bazaar is a multi-level destination reinvented with avant-garde and Americana-inspired decor.

    Our dinning experience was AMAZING!!! Our 3 teenage boys ate a ton of delicious food! Their top choice is the ox tail croquetas. They ordered 3! The wine, Japanese peach salad, wavy and Jamon experience were all top notch! We came from Philly to done here and would again!! Chef, please open a Bazaar in Philly!!!

    Everyone greeted us warmly and directed us to the table. We sat in a private space large enough for our group and were introduced to our server immediately. The menu was clear and the choices all seemed exciting. We ordered drinks and chose the Pre Fixe option. The $60 set price was a good deal and all of the food was wonderful. We enjoyed the space, the food, and the service. I definitely recommend it.

    The pre-fixed menu was horrible. The food is around 2-star and the portion is super tiny. We have done many pre-fixed menu in the past and 3 just for this holidays week, and yes I understand they were supposed to be small portions as they were 4-5 courses but nothing like this tiny. My 8 years old was still hungry after. We had to go to pick up some other food after dined there. Service: 1-star, the waiter is no where to be found, no checking on our table. We had to ask/ request things through the servers when they bought food out. No one re-filled our water. We ordered another round of drinks but never came (they didn’t charge for them though). This is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely upscale hotel. The hotel lobby is the only 5-star in this whole experience.

    NYE tasting menu was decent but overpriced for what it was. Not a lot of creativity in the dishes; it seems like the chefs justified the cost by adding caviar on half of the dishes. Service was inconsistent; server was not very attentive even though the restaurant was mostly empty toward the end of the night

    Went for NYE and had prix fixe menu. I don’t feel like the food quality and service were reflective of the $275 per person price.

    We came for two reasons, we both retired and it was NYE so it was celebration time! It was an awesome experience. The food was incredible, we had the perfect table, quiet, out of the way, but with the full view of this beautiful hotel. I can't say enough about the staff, they were professional, respectful and seemed to cater to any of our needs immediately. All was seamless. Chef Jose outdid himself with the combination of food; his Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, was beautifully sprinkled around the meal, the Wagyu beef simply melted in your mouth. Even the oxtail croquettes were fab·u·lous, something I wasn't expecting. And OMG the Chocolate tart de Queso was to die for. I will definitely recommend Bazaar to everyone and anyone. It was a wonderful evening and was the perfect way to spend the last night of 2024. I will never forget this experience!! P.S. I am a Personal Chef and they brilliantly and delightfully outdid my expectations at every level.

    I dined alone. Half my courses had to be boxed up. It’s a lot of food for one person. That ruined my fantastic server and ambience or delicious food!
