Positioned in the heart of Old Town Toronto at Church and Front Streets, The Berczy is set to redefine the casual fine dining experience, blending contemporary Canadian/American cuisine with Mediterranean influences. With plans for a comprehensive cocktail program, extensive wine list, and a vibrant piano bar, The Berczy is poised for a grand opening in summer 2024 and aims to become a cornerstone in Toronto's dining scene.

    The Berczy Tavern has 2 distinct spaces. The dining room is lined with banquettes, booths and a wine wall. The Bar features a piano for live music and a whiskey nook with a fully stocked cabinet and private table. The whiskey nook is available for groups up to 8. The Dining room features curated menus and experiences for groups of 8 or more.

    We came here before going to a show with 3 kids, the staff was sooo incredibly good with the kids. The food was outstanding. The cocktails were exceptional! I highly recommend!

    Fantastic food and service throughout the night. Well-crafted menu with a knowledge waiter that offered advice and suggestions. The atmosphere was great and not too noisy, loved the piano in the corner. Will definitely come back again.

    The servers were fantastic and knowledgeable. Donnie was our waiter , started with tuna tostados ,very tasty ,suggested my wife try the pork roast with roasted cabbage & bagna cauda ,excellent , I had the prime rib steak with fries it was good ,but. Finished with a sticky toffee pudding ,excellent ,enjoyed it more then Ramseys

    The beautiful, charming, large interior can easily accommodate larger groups with a reservation (and has wheelchair access). Food isn't inexpensive but worth the splurge - it's a "you get what you pay for" situation which you will see and taste from this fine dining experience. The piano player on the weekend creates a lovely ambiance but isn't loud, and seating in the back of the restaurant easily allows for conversation—even for those harder of hearing. Our table enjoyed the lobster roll, croque madame, burger, and eggs Benedict. The portions are generous but not ridiculous. Service was attentive, friendly, and personable. This restaurant is relatively new to the neighborhood but not the Owner's/Chef's first rodeo. It's a gem, where casual dress intersects with incredible food. We would highly recommend it to others to experience it. We will be back - thanks, Berczy Tavern!!!
