Brilliant experience. We didn't know what to expect but it was truly a great night. From the atmosphere, service, food and drink. The food was amazing and the staff were really friendly and accomdating. I would definitely recommend and I will be back. Drove all the way from mullingar and it was not a waste of a journey.

Got steak sandwich and gf got chicken and waffle with 2 pints of forged was all very nice would recommend, waitress was helpful and attentive, will be back!! Conor running around saying hello to everyone was cool also!!

Nothing special. Tragedy regarding the price change. Mr McGregor… your prices are going up and up.. matter of few months ? What a hell. We asked waiter why there is a difference price on the menu card and what we see on your website (showing their website on the go) … he said „it’s a better meat quality” (??!) sorry ? .. it’s OK restaurant but surely there is lots of better ones around for a better price and quality too.

Wow what can I say, the food at the black forge was the best food me and my wife has ever had. The staff was so friendly and very helpful and a joy to be around. They even let me and my wife have a picture with Conor’s ufc belt. We will definitely be going back again.

Bit disappointing that the kitchen closed 10 minute after our reservation which was only made aware to us an hour before. So we felt a bit rushed. Music was loud.

From the time we got into the black fordge. We were treated like vips. The staff were very nice and the food was delicious. The manager Liam is hilarious and has time for everybody. This is my second time there a d it won't be the last. Highly recommend.

I had the fish and chips, excellent fish - very generous portions. However the chips could be improved - not great for a gastro pub - need to be better. The desert - I had a Bakewell tart - was disappointing and did not work - yogurt and Bakewell - didn't taste fresh with a soggy pear and honey drizzle. I was disappointed in that choice. Lovely staff and good pub.
