I’ve frequented the Blind Pig and their seasonal themes over the last couple years. This recent time was by far the most disappointing. Reservation was for 9, party was not seated until 9:20. After waiting 10 minutes for our server, we were told that the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. After ordering food and the first round, service from our waiter was not the best. The bar closed shortly after the kitchen, and at that point we were unable to order our second cocktail. They offered one of their shots, but given the price difference/value of the two, it doesn’t really compare. Apparently shots count as one of the included “cocktails” that you pay for when booking a reservation.
They raised all the lights and cut the house music around 10:15, and at that point we weren’t even halfway through our two hour time slot. It was apparent the staff was starting their closing duties, and the ambience the space normally offers was done with so we did not get to enjoy the full experience for the time allotted for our reservation.
I’ll keep this in mind when booking a later reservation for the future and recommending this place to friends, the experience is just limited and cut short for those looking to book a later time slot.
