A resplendent thatched-roof Inn, located in the heart of Devon, two miles from the coastal town of Sidmouth. With eight recently renovated rooms, the Blue Ball is a snuggly, seaside treat of a place. Locally sourced seafood specials are the order of the day, supplied by renowned Cornish fishmonger Flying Fish, coupled with a well-stocked bar of real ales, liveners & pick me ups! Our cosy corners, eccentric finishing touches and curiosities make for quite the venerable experience. Only heightened by our splendid rear garden which promises to provide a welcome haven.

    Lovely traditional pub with great food. My o Love you xxxx criticism was we were positioned with a view of the toilets. Didn’t realise they had a garden so will definitely be back.

    Good selection of menu choices, well presented and good value for money. Much better with current owners/managers. Clean tidy and well presented decor

    My husband, son and myself enjoyed the Festive menu. We each chose a different starter all of which were delicious. For the main course I chose the steak which was perfectly cooked as I requested and my husband and son chose the salmon dish which came with an abundance of seasonal vegetables. Both said it was excellent. We were all tempted by three different desserts. Again, all proved to be delicious. Our young waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, serving each course efficiently. Food was piping hot where necessary and remained so for the duration of each course. A thoroughly enjoyable start to the festive season. Thank you. We’ll be back soon

    Looked after us well - we were a party of 9 which is never easy! A few items on the menu were not available which was a shame. Overall, good service and food in a nice and spacious pub.

    Cosy atmosphere, very attentive staff, tremendous food. Dogs in a separate area. 5 guests and we all had something different, including a vegetarian. Highly recommend. Will be going more !!

    We had a great family Sunday dinner here. Roasts were really good, including the vegetarian option and we all enjoyed the mini puddings with coffee to finish. Staff were friendly and attentive.
