Our Rocketts Landing location occupies the top floor of the restored Power Plant building, which sits on the James River and once provided electricity for Richmond’s trolley cars. We specialize in seafood and locally-sourced signature entrees. And we can't forget the incredible view!

    This was our first visit to The Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing and we all were very impressed! The ambience was wonderful and our hostess seated us with a river view as requeated. Our server, Badan (sp?) was so attentive and polite. The food was great and I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

    I had a thoroughly disappointing experience at The Boathouse. Despite its promising atmosphere and menu, the kitchen served subpar dishes, including overcooked meat (ordered a medium rare) and a burnt crème brûlée (imposible to eat) The service was equally lacking, with our server seeming overwhelmed and neglecting to clear dirty dishes or attend to our needs in a timely manner. To make matters worse, the wait between courses was excessively long. Overall, I will give it a rating of 1/5 stars, finding it to be overpriced for the poor quality received.

    We went for our 24th wedding anniversary and it was great. Brianna was an excellent server and did everything she could to help make the day special for us. Food was extremely delicious and not too expensive as you would see in similar restaurants. Overall, would definitely go back again!

    Christmas Eve dining out is a family tradition- The Boathouse was a great choice for us. Even a hit with our 4 and 8 year old grandchildren seeing lit up Richmond holiday skyline over the James.

    The waiter was very good and accommodating to my daughter’s gluten allergy. He was very kind and made our time very festive and special. Thank you for a special Christmas Eve.

    It took nearly two and a half hours to have dinner. The meal was excellent, but our service was cringe-worthy. The whole experience was bizarre. Definitely a birthday to remember!
