Our Head Chef, Phil Yates, has created a menu which offers everything from gourmet sandwiches, to amazing burgers, to delicious salads, to 28 day aged prime steaks, to classic favourites. Our restaurant terrace and garden has tables for outside dining and our bar and lounge are comfortable places to relax before or after your meal. The Botanist at Keavil House is perfect for a casual lunch on Saturday and Sunday or dinner on any evening. We offer traditional lunch roasts at weekends and a children's menu is always available. You can reserve a table for lunch from 12.00pm to 2.00pm and for dinner in the evening from 5.00pm to 9.00pm.

We made a reservation online half an hour before arriving, we got there exactly on time and were told that they could not honour service at that time. There was a very big party in and I saw that the reservation book had big crossings out for a pre-booked party across the time I had booked just half an hour earlier. They offered a later slot, but with such a big party just having settled down I declined as I supposed there would be a long delay in the food arriving. The restaurant management need to ensure proper coordination of online bookings with reality in the dining room.

My husband's chicken liver pate seemed shop bought and when he asked for it was slid onto the table in foil packaging straight from fridge and not presented on dish. Our steaks were good, as was wine and apple crumble. Red wine seemed to be served in white wine glasses.
