Wonderful meal. Everything was delicious both food wise and we had a wonderful good value Tuscan wine. Lovely people and we had a good chat with the Head Chef Paul who was on that night. It’s great to see James Cochran back in the saddle as it was a shame that 1251 and Velderamas have closed. We’ll be back and I expect the Brave to also appear to top London roast lists. The 1251 one was spectacular and I’m sure this will be as well. We’ll be back shortly. Highly Recommended!

Odd menu - strange flavours which didn’t quite work. Waitress pushed loads of bread on us which came with bizarre fishy butter…

A Sunday soft opening so quite busy but staff as efficient as they could be. Sunday menu limited to roast beef or chicken with a veggie option but very good quality beef and generous portions with several side dishes and enormous Yorkshire pudding included. We had no room for starters or dessert. Only downside was the food served on cold plates — they had apparently run out of hot ones— but this would not be the norm.

Went during soft launch, so somewhat chaotic service and plate delivery easily understood. Also went on a Sunday which is no place for a pescatarian when it’s all roasts! Will try it on other days to give the regular menu a go.

Lovely people and friendly atmosphere. A fabulous roast, everything tasty and cooked to perfection. Good wine list.

Opening night. Food no problem, delicious. Service, no problem, friendly and attentive. However there was a disconnet in order taken and order received. We waited 25 mins for starter and then 30 mins for mains, worth the wait in the end but seemed unnecessary with a better co-ordination between ordering, preparation and delivery. There is a symbiotic rtelationship with food and wine so delivering wine fast and food slow doesn't work. Opening night teething problems are to be accepted and expected, just seems a shame if food is first class but the comms and connections aren't quite up to scratch. Get that disconnect solved between order and delivery and they are on to a winner here.

We went on their opening weekend, and are already looking forward to our next visit. We went for the Sunday Roast which was outstanding, and provided a very generous portion of food. We wanted to maximise trying as much as possible on the menu so went for 4 options from the starter menu and opted to share just one roast between two, and this was definitely more than enough food! You could definitely sense it was opening weekend as the waiters needed to find their groove and familiarise themselves better with the menu - but as mentioned, can't wait to come back. Superb potential for a neighbourhood high-quality foodie pub.

Naughty food, served in a size that doesn’t make you feel guilty. WINNING. Do not miss the potato dumplings with beef shin, crispy mutton belly, and the leeks… oh Lordy… let me lick that plate! And defo have the cheese AND both sweet desserts. You will get FOMO otherwise. As it’s a ‘come as it’s ready’ type affair, you’ll want to share all the dishes or get 2, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out or waiting. Floor manager is an angel, as are the other waiting staff, and Chef was sooo lovely too. Defo going back!!!
