    Very well organised and the vibe was particularly good- really great atmosphere. Overall the food was good but was obviously reheated- the cauliflower cheese was hard and some slices of turkey were crimpled at edges and very tough…… and more veg would have been nice. We enjoyed the starters and puddings.

    This was a good experience as we were with lovely friends but: The beetroot risotto was gloopy and the rice was undercooked The haloumi burger and sweet potato fries were very salty The chicken burger was dry The salad that was ordered didn’t appear The cappuccino that was ordered without chocolate arrived with chocolate (although the waitress replaced it immediately) When booking, I was not told that it was only a 2 hour slot so we had just finished our dessert course and were asked (very politely) if we would mind going upstairs because there was another booking at 8pm. The servers were all lovely.

    This is a favourite restaurant for a reason... the consistency of the quality food and service is always high. Once again I enjoyed a near perfect fillet steak, though the fries are not quite as good as the previous triple cooked chips. The red wines available by the glass has been extended with a welcome return of an Argentinian Malbec. I don't often do Christmas pudding but this was as good as it gets. My dining companions lavished equal praise for their seperate lamb and monkfish dishes. Don't tell anyone, but this place is a gem!
