Celebrating authentic Singaporean, Malaysian and Chinese cuisines made from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The new restaurant has undergone a full interior renovation and features an upscale bar.
The Bugis is set in the elegant ambience of the Bailey’s Hotel South Kensington.
Why not savour the signature appetiser, “Steamed Cornish Diver Scallops with Black Bean Sauce or Salt and Pepper Soft Shell Crab with Fresh Chilli.” The restaurant prides itself on using finest local British suppliers, for example “Hainanese Chicken” which is sourced from Norfolk
A fusion of fine Asian food, choose from Noyonya Assam Fillet Seabass, Golden Fragrance Kam Heong Chicken or sliced Angus beef with black bean sauce to name a few delicious dishes. The Singapore Favourites part of the menu offers a delicious array from Laksa, Penang Char Kway Teow or Bak Kut Teh.

This is not bad any means, but it is not great either. The white wine we ordered was not cold enough. The food was good, but we felt that the relationship between food and price was a bit too high for the quality. It wasn't good enough to justify the bill.

Had cravings of a good Nasi Lemak, and was not disappointed. Quite flavourful and enjoyable. The portions were generous. I also ordered the crispy tofu, but this one was on the bland side. Luckily, I was able to request some dipping sauce that improved it. The main waiter had an stern look, but he was really paying attending to detail, and the service was second to none.

It was as close as dining in Singapore and recollect the dishes were almost identical. They were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. As this was our first time we will be going back.

Good authentic Chinese restaurant. Nice wine list. The soups are very tasty. The Hainan half chicken was moist and tender. Fried noodles (char kway tew) was delicious and well balanced. We had a bottle of Sicilian white wine which was fresh and fragrant. Service was attentive. Three people with shared starters, soups and three main courses came to £200.

We stayed at the adjacent hotel so thought it was a good place to go and we weren’t disappointed. Friendly staff and very helpful as my fiancé is gluten free

The food was fabulous. We had the crispy duck and loved it. Service could have been better. Our wait staff was slow and not very attentive. Overall was a good experience but not perfect.
