The Butcher’s Daughter Venice is a plant-forward restaurant, bar, juicery, and “vegetable slaughterhouse.” Located in the vibrant Venice neighborhood, we treat fruits and vegetables with the same care a butcher would meat: chopping, filleting, and carving fresh produce into healthy vegetarian dishes and pressing them into vibrant juices.

Under the guidance of our Culinary Director Richard Rea, our menu changes every season, offering 100% vegetarian dishes with many vegan and gluten-free options. We take pride in our great selection of wines, craft cocktails, and mocktails, ensuring there’s something for every taste. We also offer take-out and delivery for those who prefer to enjoy our meals at home.

Named one of the best supper spots in Venice by the LA Times, we serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, creating a celebrated dining experience with in-season ingredients that nourish both body and soul.

The Butcher's Daughter is a great place for vegetarian / vegan food. We went to the. Abbot Kinney location, which is always a fun area to bop around. They offer many great options in different types of preparations, for example fried calamari made from mushrooms, vegan pizza, pad thai, on and on. We tried lots of things I'd never had before. Cocktails were great too. Only little thing was they are very serious about closing time and all four of us felt that sort of crept up on us sort of suddenly. But a great time, we'll be back.

We were handed our check and food boxes at 8:50pm, lights turned on, and we were forced out of the restaurant at 9pm sharp. No leeway!

The mushroom calamari and Cauliflower cacio e pepe were the standouts. But everything we ordered was delicious.

We visited with 1 meat eater and they loved the beet pizza. it had a nice pepperoni like spice with a delicious crispy crust. Wednesday you get half off a bottle of wine and I think glasses were $10.00. The mushroom "calamari" was excellent. Will be back !!

The service was great my friend and I grabbed a few drinks and an appetizer, and then we left to a place with meat because the name of this place had us presume there was steak on the menu LOL otherwise it was good

This is a lovely vegetarian restaurant with a great ambiance. My only gripe was around a dish I requested that had mushrooms in. When I ordered I requested they be removed as I really dislike them. When the food arrived the server said “ breakfast without mushrooms….but sorry we couldn’t remove them?” Why wasn’t I told this when I ordered the dish? I might have chosen an alternative dish on the menu?! The server didn’t seem to care at all and seemed annoyed when I asked for a dish to put the mushrooms in as I removed them from my food. We’ve eaten here a few times and this is the first time we’ve had an issue.

Overpriced drinks and underwhelming food proportions. Their green Regina tastes more like green goddess,absolutely no sesame flavor. This place is overrated.
