Friendly staff, whitefish was a little dry and overcooked but beet salad was very good. Would try again.

Our experience at Cadillac Inn and Tavern was HORRIBLE!!! There were 6 of us who were looking forward to this dinner to celebrate our anniversaries, which I had noted on the reservation. There were two large groups that arrived soon after we did, who received their food well before we received ours. We ordered expensive entrees and waited to be served and drinks refilled (approximately 1 1/2 hours) only to get cold food that had been sitting under warming lights (we assumed). My husband ordered the parmasen encrusted whitefish and it was cold and sitting on a bed of cold and clumpy risotto. Another couple in our party ordered rice as their starch and it was cold and stuck together. The worst part was that they charged us for the fish and when we challenged them the hostess came over and said "our kitchen checked the temp of your food and it was fine!" Could not believe the lack of service and lack of quality in the food. We are 20%+ tippers yet couldn't bring ourselves to leave anything! We will NOT return to this establishment!

Overpriced for mediocre food. Nice enough staff, but very young and inexperienced.

It’s a beautiful historical building. The food was very good, the server seemed brand new but she did a good job. The outside fire pit seating area was very nice, and we had fun playing corn hole after dinner. It was our 45th wedding anniversary (June 30th) official date night. We also enjoyed Emilio’s the night before. We had a lovely time spending our anniversary weekend in Lexington, MI. The owner of Wimpy’s cracked us up, too, at breakfast. So much fun!

I would definitely return to The Cadillac House Inn and Tavern again. The historic building was quaint and beautifully decorated. The food was very good. I would highly recommend the Eggplant/tomato stack. We went on a night where they were serving a large party (rehearsal dinner I think) so our service was off a little and probably would have had a little better experience. They obviously have a great reputation because the place was packed.

There was a wedding event happening at the same time we were dining (I'm assuming rehearsal dinner?), which resulted in a LONG wait time for our food to come out and the dining room was extremely loud. The wedding party not only had their own space (with doors that were left open the majority of the time we were dining), but they were greeting people in the middle of the dining room... As often as this place advertises as being an event space as well as a regular restaurant/ dining room, they should really have the space organized a little better. Grated, we did come on a Friday evening so its understandable for it to be a little crowded/ noisy.

This is not my nature to give such a poor review. The vegetable risotto was the worse risotto I’ve ever had…I’m 78 years old, and this was not my first risotto. The only reason I didn’t send it back was because we were with friends. Another in our party had risotto with her entree and she said it was the worst she had ever had, as well. She is Italian. Needless to say, we passed on any of their desserts. Doubt I’ll ever return or recommend to anyone. It’s a shame, the site and location are excellent, but you don’t eat site and location.

Place is beautiful. Superbly renovated. Very attentive and considerate staff. Food wasn’t great; fish was dry and overcooked, which was a disappointment. I will likely give it another try in the future as anyone can have an off night. As far as ambience though, it was incredible.
