So, first things first, the staff were kind, friendly and (mostly) professional.
There endeth the positives.
We arrived (Friday night in December, in the 2nd largest city in England) and there were 14 other people in the restaurant. 6 left quite soon after, seemingly happy. The restaurant was now, quite empty.
Still we had booked, I'd bot seen my dining companion for too long and neither of us could face a search for another place. We sat down and ordered. At this point I think it i best described as slightly odd, faulty towers type experience.

I then took a jaunt to the toilets. There were some way away, and the stairs felt "sticky'
It was a shame really. The staff were nice and we really wanted to enjoy it. But in truth, as soon as we walked in, we should have left the lack of custom on one of the busiest nights of the year was the clue.
