The Carriage House Restaurant in Burlington has been a favourite with locals and visitors for the past 15 years.

Whether a business dinner, a group function in one of our private rooms, a special occasion or a night out with your favourite person the ambiance, food and service are sure to impress.

The menu focuses on fresh seafood and steak. Start with grilled octopus, tuna sashimi, avocado and crab salad, lberico ham, seared diver scallopsand follow with one of our USDA Prime cuts of steak, rack of lamb, duck, pasta or choose from our freshly available seafood of the day. Our parking lot is at the rear of the Restaurant off Lakeshore Road.There is on street parking in front of the Restaurant on Old Lakeshore Road free after 6 pm, and free all day during December. Our guests have also permission to use Dr. Carling Chambers Cardiology parking across the street after 6 pm.

Excellent professional service and outstanding cuisine. Noise level higher than on previous visits but that is mostly a customer thing which will vary.

I am very particular about my steak. The one I had was likely the most expensive I’ve had in a very long time and worth it. Spectacular service and friendly, professional staff in a lovely, lake front setting. My new favourite place.

This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. The “manager” was confrontational over improperly cooked food. That was the icing I the horrible dining experience cake. Ordered the special which ended up being sold out so ordered the rack of lamb. Wanted it medium rare. It was well done. Inedible. Another diner at our table ordered the duck 2 ways and the duck breast was way over cooked as well. We were told the kitchen was busy but that’s no excuse. Everything took longer than it should. From the offering of cocktails at the start to the time between courses this dinner took way too long. Even with 2 bottles of wine the interval between starters and mains was so long we basically ran out of wine before the mains arrived. And with the poor quality and the manager coming over he then was rude and ridiculous to us. I would say if he is still working there no one better complain or he will yell at you. No. Seriously. That happened. I have never seen or experienced anything like that. The other wait staff tries to diffuse the situation but the die was cast. I have no words. $1400 later I will regret this choice of restaurant always. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

Planned a lovely dinner with the family. The server was incredibly rude. Very unapologetic and it ruined our dinner. We spoke with the owner and the bad service continued. We do not want another family to experience similar. Too many other restaurants to go to in the area. We will no longer support this restaurant. Due to this awful experience, we do not recommend the Carriage House.

The Carriage House is always the place to go for a celebration. Exceptional food quality in every way. They have a wood burning grill that provides amazing flavour to their meat and fish. It is truly a fantastic evening. The service is usually amazing but we had a new server who we were not pleased with. All of the servers are usually exceptional, but this one was different and did not create a great experience. However, overall, always a 5 star.

The Carriage House was a great spot to celebrate an important Birthday! The service was friendly, attentive and prompt! The food was excellent, very fresh and large portions were served. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service a delight! A real treat indeed!
