Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry,having owned and operated over 50 successful restaurant concepts in South Africa, Germany, and the U.S. Paul began his career as a manager and worked his way up to franchise owner, then Director of Operations.
He opened Paul's Pizza Shops - a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas in 1994.
Paul later developed a new concept, becoming the Executive Chef, CEO and partner at Peli Peli - a nationally recognized South African Fusion Restaurant which opened in 2009 in Houston, Texas. Having retired from Pelipeli in 2018 he has returned to his original location at Vintage Park with his latest concept The Chefs Table.
Chef Friedman says this is by far my best creation yet and I hope to leave a legacy here for my children and grandchildren to be proud of.

Excellent food! Our server Daniel was very knowledgeable and attentive. Chef Paul was friendly and welcoming. This was our second visit and definitely not our last.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I have been to The Chef's Table a few times now, both lunch and dinner, for personal and professional occasions, and it always delights the palate. Not very often do I get to cut my steak with a butter knife but, at The Chef's Table, you most certainly can and do! The Brussels Sprouts are a most delicious treat also. They listen to your requests for seating and can place you in a quiet corner or in the middle of things, as you desire. Servers are attentive without being overbearing and can advise on menu choices, as you would expect in a chef-run restaurant. The prices are what you would expect from a high-end steak house, but the food is most worth it.

Absolutely love this place! It’s become one of our staple date night and celebratory locations. We always get the spinach dip and try various other appetizers at every trip. I don’t think we’ve had a single thing we didn’t like.
