Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry,having owned and operated over 50 successful restaurant concepts in South Africa, Germany, and the U.S. Paul began his career as a manager and worked his way up to franchise owner, then Director of Operations.
He opened Paul's Pizza Shops - a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas in 1994.
Paul later developed a new concept, becoming the Executive Chef, CEO and partner at Peli Peli - a nationally recognized South African Fusion Restaurant which opened in 2009 in Houston, Texas. Having retired from Pelipeli in 2018 he has returned to his original location at Vintage Park with his latest concept The Chefs Table.
Chef Friedman says this is by far my best creation yet and I hope to leave a legacy here for my children and grandchildren to be proud of.

We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing and were thrilled. The food was unique, and the service was great. Our only complaint was that it was a bit loud for a romantic dinner.

We got in quickly, got our food quickly, it was hot and delicious. I had a half Caesar salad, and the impala steak. Both were excellent. My wife had the carrot ginger soup which was excellent, and the butternut squash ravioli which was also excellent. I wish we lived in the area so we could go back regularly.

The dining experience was fantastic. Our server was very helpful and responsive. The food was delicious and well prepared. The atmosphere was perfect for our conversations. Everyone at our table will be repeat guest.

This restaurant was PHENOMENAL! From the service to the incredible food, my boyfriend and I LOVED our experience! We had the Ostrich and Iberico and the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Every flavor profile was unique and left a tasty impression on us. We will be eating here again! The Chef’s Table has definitely become a tradition for us!
