Opentable reservations are only for Dining, we do not take bookings for just drinks. Reservations for events and shows are done through Headfirst Bristol or our Facebook page.

The Cloak and Dagger is a Restaurant, Bar and Grassroots event venue in the heart of Bristol’s Independent District on Cheltenham Road. We offer a seasonal, sustainable and locally sourced tapas menu. Our thoughtfully prepared menu is created by Michelin trained, Masterchef finalist Sebastian Merry. Sebastian is passionate about serving a fine dining level off food, that is accessible to all. We have a beautifully bright dining room and a secret courtyard that can be enjoyed during lunch and brunch. The Courtyard is closed on Thursday-Saturday evening for events and private hire. We are pleased to host a restaurant pop up from Fattso Burger Company throughout July and August on a Sunday. This will be served between 5pm & 9:30pm on Sundays after Sunday lunch service which last seatings for is 3pm.

We went to the cloak and dagger for my girlfriends birthday and we were incredibly impressed with everything from the service we received to the incredible quality of the food! When the bill came we couldn’t believe the good value we’d received, food that good usually does not come at that price, very impressed.

The setting and atmosphere was nice but the food was very poor given the cost. £9.50 for a slice of tough sourdough with scrambled eggs, and two very thin rashers of bacon. Staff were nice but food does not make up for it.

Love this place! I went for the first time last weekend. It was the first time going out for food after lockdown and it didn’t disappoint! We sat in the little courtyard out the back and it’s super cute and comfortable. We had brunch and the eggs Benedict and florentine were amazing! Better than I’ve had in high star hotels! Highly recommend. Also the staff were really lovely, welcoming and accommodating. I felt very safe with the Covid regulations. I’ll definitely be going back ASAP!
