Originally a historic US Coast Guard Station built in 1888 by famed architects McKim, Mead & White, now a spectacularly located waterfront restaurant overlooking Narragansett Bay. Offering an array of creative dishes from lobster & sweet corn tamale, lobster ravioli, grilled swordfish, lobster mac & cheese, & organic chicken; we supporting all aspects of sustainable agriculture and aquaculture. We use local farms when possible and source produce for quality and sustainability. Our seafood is sourced from purveyors that are dedicated to locating species from areas that produce the best tasting and highest quality seafood available.

    For the prices charged this was a very disappointing dinner . The salmon was super thin and not cooked properly. The pasta dish didn’t even fill up the bowl it was served in. The rib eye was cooked to order but also a very thin cut of meat. We were there for a very special celebration and were disappointed to put it mildly with the food. The atmosphere is always wonderful

    The Coast Guard House is such a culinary treasure with a view that is almost as impressive as the food! From the moment you step in you are greeted by an atmosphere that effortlessly combines seaside charm with fine dining flair. The menu is as fresh as the sea breeze, with a variety of dishes that somehow balance indulgence and lightness. Service is top-notch, too- attentive, friendly, and just the right amount of laid-back, in keeping with the coastal vibe. The Coast Guard House strikes that rare balance of being both a great spot for a casual meal and an elegant dining experience. Great food, fantastic views, and stellar service all come together for a perfect night out.

    We went with friends because it was Candlelight Night and it was beautiful. We would have liked one of the open tables with the water view but that was okay. However, both my husband and I had the Chicken Marsala and it totally lacked flavor. Usually you can smell the aroma of the sweetness of a marsala sauce, but ours looked like it was swimming in water. Not a good dish at all.

    The Coast Guard House is a terrific place to have a great meal with a great view. The food selection and quality are excellent. The service is top notch. The atmosphere super.

    Food was exceptional. We had the Caesar salad and octopus for first course, swordfish and filet mignon for main course, cheesecake and crème brûlée for dessert. All the dishes were delicious. Sweater weather was one of the best tasting cocktails I’ve ever had. Northern lights drink was just okay.
