I tried Notting Hill Counter before and quite satisfied. Everything was right there. This restaurant is nothing close to our experience at their first restaurant. 9 personnel around us doing nothing much. “Kıbbe” on the menü was not kıbbe we have in Tırkey. What they have is “çiğköfte” As a Turkish restaurant to write the name of the food wrong is interesting. Plus we do not serve “rakı” ready with water and ice in it in Turkey. Everybody adjust it himself.

food was delicious and service was great untill they tricked us into adding nearly £30 onto our bill. The waitress presented the card machine saying “we have added service on hope that’s ok” - which of course we accepted and paid - only to realise after it was an additional £30 to the service already added on the bill. She then held fast to the fact she had asked, but she hadn’t explained it was additional. It’s a shame as it ruined what would have been a lovely experience. Just shady, check your bill carefully

We love The Counter Notting Hill, but the new Soho location is absolutely fantastic! Great ambiance, fun space, lovely service and delightful food. A modern take on Turkish and Mediterranean classics. Really creative flavours. One of our favourite spots in London!

The Counter offers outstanding food with fresh, seasonal ingredients and beautifully balanced flavors. The elegant, and modern ambience create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Service is warm, attentive, and professional, with excellent wine pairings to complete the experience along with special cocktails. A must-visit in London!

This is our second time at the Counter Soho and the food and overall experience equally impressed us both times. Started with Istanbuli tomato salad which has meaty and juicy heirloom tomatoes with a zesty dressing. Repeat order for us. We continued with lamb tartare (perfectly seasoned) and saffron crab orzo (creamy and refined) and finished with Adana kebap which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We had a red wine from Sicily (Siccagno from Occhipinti) which accompanied all the dishes nicely. We will be back.
