This stunning 14th century pub in the unspoilt village of Kinnerley offers beautifully prepared seasonal fare alongside delicious pub classics. Offering real ales from local breweries and a interesting winelist. If the sun is shining dine or enjoy a drink in the beer garden with its village green charm.

Warwick Kidd started his career as a part time pot washer at Ludlow's Michelin starred La Becasse under Head Chef Will Holland. His natural ability meant it wasn't long before he was starting to cook and his career soon blossomed. He moved away from Ludlow to gather experience which took him to France, where he cooked for 2 Michelin starred Jean-Luc Rabanel.

Zach Hermon's career started at the age of 15. He has worked at some of the country's most prestigious restaurants including Raymond Blanc's 2 Michelin starred 'Le Manoir aux quat saisons' and more recently 2 Michelin starred 'Moor Hall' in Lancashire - Winner of first place at The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards.

It was Valentine's Day, so the restaurant was packed. Understandable, to a point, the service was slower than usual, but staff were cheerful and helpful. The food was generally good, but I thought two scallops on a large plate with a little something or other around them, was a bit of a rip off. Should have been at least four scallops, to feel value for money. My steak was reasonable, but my wife specifically asked for her duck to be well cooked. It wasn't. Very pink. And her carrots were rock hard. Our sweets however, were excellent. Really nice ambience, just as there is, normally. This is one of our favourite restaurants in the area, but we were a little disappointed, although we enjoyed the evening. Thought it was a little bit overpriced, for what it was.

Would highly recommend eating here. Food was fantastic and beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly. Great place to eat and have a few drinks.

Great food and service. Starters looked good and tasted great, the portion size of my main (Duck) looked small on a large plate, I thought more was being brought out but after a minute or so I decided that was it. Enjoyed the meal anyway, I guess my eyes are bigger than my belly. Not been before, and I would definitely go again, great setting, nice and clean.

The Sunday lunch that we were served was the most delicious Sunday lunch that any of us had ever been lucky enough to receive. Every item was cooked to perfection and had a beautiful flavour. The service was great, friendly and efficient and the room was cosy with the log burner. I have told everyone I’ve met since to visit, it really was lovely. Well done everyone, you’re doing the best job, thank you x

Consistently excellent food with generous portions. Service is excellent, the staff are all lovely and very helpful. Dietary requirements are catered for without fuss, with chef making the required tweaks to menu choices where possible, rather than simply excluding. We come here as often as we can - it always delivers!
