The Crows Nest Inn is a family run pub located inn Swanage, in the heart of Dorset. The pub serves a full selection of draught beers, wines and spirits for your enjoyment along with a lovely range of soft drinks for those drivers and non-drinkers. The pubs fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff make The Crows Nest Inn a pub everyone wants to spend the day. Situated on the premises is a large beer garden and a children’s play area, parents can have a refreshing drink during the warm summer months while the children play. Disabled access and friendly staff are on hand throughout the pubs premises, making this pub easily accessible for all. To keep everyone amused there is a retro 1980’s gaming table on the premises. The Crows Nest Inn boasts a carefully selected menu using the freshest, locally sourced food around! Freshly prepared traditional classics and modern favourites are served to perfection every day.

I would never go to to this place again. Took a booking for a table did not gave a table as a party was going on. You need to look at removing this as a place to eat. Did not say walked out and nobody noticed.

our last visit though good was not on par with their usual excellence from the kitchen but because we like it we drove down again from Buckinghamshire for another meal do some gardening and drive home the next day! and they did not disappoint on any front other than no SQUID which in itself is a heinous crime, the meal was lovely, helped along by the 2 for 1 cocktails and a nice bottle of wine. I can honestly say it was worth the trip, the service is always good and our waitress was exceptionally patient and helpful, we had bread to start as a share and then hake for us as a main and DC had Ham Duck Egg and triple cooked fries (best in town) for a child to eat that much food in one sitting is a triumph so well done chef, all in all had a great evening so once again the thumbs up for the crows nest, crack on next time the garden needs attending or a door needs painting I would highly recommend the Crows Nest to anyone who is looking for a meal with good food great service.

We made a reservation on opentable, and arrived at our allotted time to be told (entirely unapologetically) by the barman that they "don't serve food on Sundays". He even opened up an app on his tablet - where I saw my 'booking' listed - and said 'yeah, well we haven't served food on Sundays since January'. I think they should be a little bit more bothered about making sure the right information is logged online, as we had two hungry under-6s in tow and no back-up plan, being in a strange town for our first night of the holiday. Overall therefore - pretty poor service, and a complete lack of interest in their reputation.

We made the booking and had a conformation email but when we got there we were told that they didn't cook that evening. Should we wish to rebook then they would give us voucher, we didn't. We went down the road and had a nice meal, which cost us quite a bit. A real shame..

Both bar and waiting staff very efficient and friendly. Food was well prepared and served within the usual anticipated waiting time. I wouldn't hesitate to re-book for either Sunday lunch or evening meal.

It was ok. Half of the main meals were unavailable (7pm on a Wednesday). The food we had was nice, the ambience was like a cafe/canteen but the service was very good from the smiley, attentive young lady that served us. Overall it was ok but nothing special. Sorry Crows Nest.

Thought the menu was limited but then what we had was very good but would think better for lunch than supper. Attentive friendly service and good area for the kids to play - would recommend to others.
