When entering the restaurant didn’t feel the welcome was very good we were early at 9.10 for a 9.30 booking to be abruptly told table won’t be ready until 9.30 didn’t mind that at all but we suggested can we wait for a drink there was lots of members of staff around the desk and no one asked what drink we wanted, so we went and asked ourselves, the young girl wasn’t really friendly, looked like she didn’t want to be there, but she was nicer as she took us to our table but that was late at 9.40
Starters were very nice, I had pork partner had scallops that was really nice but very expensive for what it was, had chateaubriand had all the sauces only liked two of them, when the steak came over looked nice there was some seasoning salt on the board which I tasted with my finger - then a member of staff came over and said think u have been given someone else’s food and took it away minute later brought it back, that was the worst part of the service wouldn’t u check before carrying someone’s dinner around I also said I tasted the salt and he was willing to give that to another table really bad, also ordered home made chips but the brought fries over then 5 mins later they brought the proper ones. Drinks were nice, desserts were the worst part of the food - bread and butter pudding bland and stodgy and the baked Alaska wasn’t baked Alaska served in a cocktail glass didn’t taste that great, but then were also rushed out of there at the end security coming around saying need to leave now, it closes at 12 and it was 11.44 and I had a little bit of wine left it’s a restaurant not a pub and we were served late - and then very much rushed out after spending £319 In there overall - the experience was a little disappointing
