The Homestead Restaurant + Lounge at The Eldred Preserve, named "The Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the Upper Delaware Valley," offers an elevated dining experience — featuring house-aged steaks and farm-to-table fare — all year long.

The modern steakhouse features several unique experiential spaces, including floor-to-ceiling windows in its main dining area, a wine-tasting room, private dining room, sunroom dining area, and an expansive covered, heated outdoor patio that’s ideal for dining al fresco. Guests can enjoy custom cakes for special occasions, holiday dining events, and special onsite performances.

The Homestead’s menus are ever-changing, and include a list of carefully-crafted signature cocktails, a wide selection of world-class wines, and an array of spirits and beers, many distilled or brewed in and around Sullivan County, N.Y.

The Lounge, also a Readers' Choice award winner, offers a comfortable atmosphere, beautiful views, and a nice selection of lighter dining fare.

We are open early, taking reservations from 2pm to 5:30pm. ($68 per person does not include beverages, tax, and gratuity. Our normal dinner menu and the Lounge menu are not available on Christmas Eve.)

We went during Restaurant Week. Food was delicious. The portions were plenty. I wish they had seated us in the main dining room. I didn't care for the wicker furniture. Waitress, Samantha was wonderful. The hostess Mia, was a delight.

Everything was perfect, starting with our cocktails @ the bar with piano in the background. The lighting and decor was superb, so were our steak entrees! Our waitress, seeing that we ate one of our appetizers but left the other untouched for the most part, took it off our bill without our asking. We’ll definitely return!

The bar staff was very dismissive, no eye contact made our presence I feel very uncomfortable, took us over 30 mins to get drinks for our party that trickled in one by one over I would say a 45 min span, only three were served and even then getting the bill was like pulling teeth. The older fellow bartender seemed annoyed with our asking for the check so we could be seated at our table. After being seated a whole plate was forgotten in our party of ten. No drink orders were taken for nearly ten mins of sitting and were not refreshed in a timely manor. I will consider another chance , because of chef Mathews enthusiasm and kindness to our party and although our young waiter seemed to be doing his best doesn’t seem like a large party would be an option.

We ate at the Eldred Preserve for restaurant week. great choices on the menu. The food was excellent, service good, great ambience. will definitely return. The regular menu looks terrific.
