Award-winning Executive Chef Dan Wecker shares his passion and dedication through seasonal menus boasting a fusion of New American and French- Inspired dishes -- the perfect balance of classic and creative cuisine. A thoughtful wine list and signature cocktails start the adventure. Signature Cream of Baltimore Soup and Chef's own pan mustard sauce for crab cakes are a notable twist. On-site Green House and Mushroom house add to the intrigue. Finally, in-house desserts will add a memorable sweet ending to your experience. Our circa 1744 Tavern Restaurant, 1810 Manor House along with 12 acres of grounds and gardens makes for the perfect dining escape. intersecting literature, history and geography as story with our food.     Service was excellent, food was incredible! Beth greeted us warmly at the door and Camille and Isaiah took great care of us during our stay. We didn’t order cocktails today but bartender Jason came by to say hi and make sure we had a great time. We both had The Sammy, a wonderful english muffin breakfast sandwich with both bacon and homemade sausage and an egg fried just how I like. I specifically brought my guest here because he loves grits - Chef Dan’s are to die for. The stuffed french toast was absolutely decadent, and definitely contributed to my post-brunch coma. Overall a fantastic experience. We’ll be back soon to try the winter menu!

    We visited due to my wife receiving a retirement gift (a gift card) from co-workers a few month ago. We should have visited earlier. What a great experience. Great patrons who greeted us along with the excellent staff members, including the owners & chef. Delicious food during their Sunday brunch. We will be coming back again, hopefully soon.

    The menu was well comprised. The food was not hot when it reached our table. The food was not seasoned with salt either. We expected more for the price.

    We have gone to Elkridge Furnace Inn for many dinners and occasions over the years. We went for NYE and while the food was ok, I would say honestly that we've had better dinners there on non holiday nights. I think the kitchen gets too swamped and the food quality is not as good, plus the holiday menus are sometimes more limited or safer for a wide variety of diners. One thing we have liked in the past about elkridge is that often you get unique things on the menu: game meats, wild boar, venison, lamb, duck, etc. While there was some on the menu (the elk pasta was good), there is sometimes less of that on the holiday menus. There is no kids menu which made it difficult for my 7 year old niece, who is a picky eater. My sister requested we do something else next year. My niece didn't like the Caesar salad or the pork chop. The Caesar salad was beautifully presented, but lost on my niece who was dismayed by the look and wanted pieces of chopped up romaine like the salad she is used to rather than a huge leaf of romaine. My short rib was excellent, the charcuterie appetizer was ok. My mom didn't care for her chestnut soup, but her break entree was good. She didn't care for her creme Brule dessert and left it half uneaten. My husband enjoyed his pate appetizer, duck salad, and elk pasta. My sister returned her old fashioned because it tasted bad. Overall we had some hits and misses, but the food that was good was very good.

    Thank you for sharing the New Year's with us, Amanda! We enjoy creating special menus and decorating our dining rooms for these happy times. Admittedly, our seasonal menus are sometimes more suited to our adventurous diners. We appreciate your thoughtful commentary.

    Took my wife there for a date night and everything was terrific. Great food and staff. The chef even came out to ask how everything was and discuss how he prepares some of the dishes.

    A very enjoyable dinner on a Saturday night near Christmas. Jason and Isaiah provided great service with Jadon offering several good menu suggestions. We dplit the grilled romaine and butternut squash salad. The goat cheese croquette was the excellent. The shrimp and scallop entree was tasty with a good amount of scallops. The Port a Feu was fantastic. A well prepared cut of beef accompanied by fall vegetables all soaking in a rich au jus. Only slight negative to the evening was being seated right next to another table when the small room we were in was otherwise empty. The room filled up towards the end of the meal, but seating us away from the other table would have been better.

    We had a delicious meal. I enjoyed my filet mignon and creme brulee dessert. Our server (Josh) and his trainee (Camille) were wonderful. With the ambience of the historic home, delicious food, and kind staff we will definitely be back.
