Voted "The Best Newcomer" restaurant at the recent May 2023 Food Reader Awards, The Farm Table is all about taking food off the farm & into the fire, celebrating the simplicity of beautiful ingredients grown, reared, caught & crafted on our doorstep.

We aim to get as much from our farm onto your table as possible and if it’s not from our farm it’s from our vibrant community of like-minded artisan food producers, farmers & fisherman who share our passion.

Opening Hours
Monday - Tuesday: 12pm - 3pm
Wednesday: 12pm - 3pm | 6pm - 8pm
Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 12pm - 3pm | 6pm - 9pm
Sunday: 12pm - 4pm

Whilst our waitress was very good, the manager (Cal?) was both rude and abrupt making my wife feel very uncomfortable when explaining her food intolerance. To cap it all he stated a replacement sauce was not possible for her selection so had to change her main course option. The waitress then presented my wife with her initial choice which she returned based on the explanation previously provided by the manager. There was obviously a lack of communication from the manager who had no intention of explaining the situation

It was my birthday and I was very much looking forward to eating at The Farm Table for the first time. There were just 3 of us dining and unfortunately, we were placed on a very large table right in the entrance. Seated opposite my Mother and Aunt, I couldn't hear what they were saying, so conversation was impossible. A smaller table in a quiet corner for myself and 2 pensioners would have been more appropriate. Not only that, both of my family members felt the need to put on scarfs due to the draft; the noise and thoroughfare was intrusive. In terms of the service, the staff were very polite, and frightfully well spoken, but that means nothing when error upon error occurs. I ordered a sauce which didn't materialise after asking repeatedly. I wasn't offered a steak knife, which wasn't a huge issue, but our server noticed her error, apologised and said she'd fetch one, but never came back. My Mother couldn't eat her pigeon as it was so tough. My sirloin was £35, and frankly I've bought better in Tesco, and cooked it better myself. I left with jaw ache from chewing so hard. In essence, The Farm Table is style and pompous, over good cooking. And very over priced. I was hugely disappointed and unfortunately won't be returning.

The service was fantastic. I would like to personally thank Izzy for going above and beyond, making my dad’s birthday celebration extra special. Thank you Izzy. You were extremely attentive and considerate, ensuring that we had a lovely meal.
