The Farmhouse at Redcoats is set in a beautiful 15th century farmhouse and gardens nestled in the north Hertfordshire countryside. Sherwin Jacobs heads the kitchen and promises to deliver an experience you will not forget specialising in quality, fresh, local produce. Private dinning is available in the charismatic main house rooms. Please call us directly to book an afternoon tea, 24 hour notice is needed.

    We always have an amazing dining experience at Redcoats. Front of house and serving staff are always friendly and attentive. The restaurant was dealing with power and gas outages due to the extreme weather, but we were still very well looked after and had a very enjoyable meal. Our server Tracy kept us updated and was very helpful despite being very busy!

    We regularly visit Redcoats and have never been disappointed in the food, service and ambience. Despite the horrible whether on 24.11.24, everything was amazing. Thank you

    My elderly friend and I were very thoughtfully looked after today. The food was delicious, the setting was lovely, and every member of staff we encountered was polite and friendly. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful Sunday roast. Lovely venue, we were seated in the Orangery & served by Tracey who was very attentive & professional. All in all a very relaxing Sunday lunch out. Would highly recommend & will be visiting again soon. A real treat.

    Went as an anniversary meal. We were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was lovely and unexpected. I had squid to start which was cooked very well. Partner has duck which he said was good. The beef bourginon was amazing, so full of flavour. Also had the partridge which partner said was slightly dry but he still enjoyed it. Desserts were poached pear tart and rhubarb and custard ice cream. Both delicious. One of the best Negronis I’ve had for a while too. We really enjoyed our evening as the noise wasn’t too loud too so you could have a conversation especially as one of us has a hearing impairment.
