The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. Thanksgiving Menu

  • THANKSGIVING BUFFETUS$50.00

    The Foundry will be offering a Traditional Buffet for Thanksgiving. The menu will consist of Smoked Turkey Breast, Stuffed Pork Loin. Our Buffet will have Traditional Stuffing, House made Cranberry Sauce, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Fried Brussel Sprouts w/Candied Bacon, Baked Mac & Cheese. Our Desserts will consist of Mini Assorted Pies, Sticky Toffee Date Cake Pops, Assorted Mini Cakes such as Gingerbread, Pumpkin and many others. The Foundry will be offering a Holiday Cocktail Menu and Wine Bottle Specials.

      Brunch was a disaster. Limited menu, marginal food, poor service. The atmosphere and the view were nice but not much better to say than that. Very inflexible with menu modifications, and the server needed a locator button to find her. Meanwhile, the manager/owner (someone of importance) sat over on the side doing paperwork as though this was operating as expected. Next time I'll pass....

      First time here for food. I’ve had drinks on the outdoor patio before. Drinks are amazing. Food was outstanding. There were 5 of us, and we each got a different meal, and everyone was very satisfied Love the atmosphere. Will be back

      The food was good - shrimp and grits for one person (well seasoned), I wanted the smoked cherry pork belly but they were out so settled for cherry chipotle salmon. Perfectly done but nothing real special about it. The dark chocolate terrine for dessert was excellent, the irish coffee tiramisu was not (the cake? used was crunchy - not what I expected). Industrial setting, loud DJ playing.

      We decided to try The Foundry. We had an early reservation, the atmosphere was nice, tables were a bit close, that you can hear other guests conversation. We ordered 2 appetizers, the devils eggs and spinach dip. The spinach dip is listed under the pizza menu section. It does take a bit for the spinach dip to come out, our main course came out after we started into the spinach dip. I guess this has happened to other diners. The salmon was very good. The mash potatoes was a bit cold. The cocktails are good. I do not like my Old Fashion with small ice (personal preference). Overall, nice restaurant and we would go back and try other menu items. Our server was awesome and helped recommended some menu items choices.

      The food timing was not optimal. Apparently our artichoke dip comes out of a different kitchen than main entrées. The scallops were a little cool off, and the couscous was cold. Our friends enjoyed the short ribs and the artichoke dip.

      I am not sure whether or not they were understaffed but very slow service. Also, we were asked if we wanted our big cinnamon roll first. We were very hungry and said yes. But then it came out well after the entrees Also- quite pricey for what we got

      We went for brunch. Fun specialty drinks and everyone really enjoyed their food. our waitress was very knowledgeable and nice.

      My family and I went to The Foundry for the first time to enjoy a meal before seeing The Nutcracker by the Dayton Ballet. We enjoyed the ambiance, and the music wasn't too loud, considering a DJ played during dinner. After being seated, we waited a while to be served. It was a little busy, but many servers passed us without saying anything. A server stopped by after about 15-20 minutes, and things got better. We enjoyed our food very much--two of us had the short rib pappardelle bolognese, my husband had the 24-hour chicken, and one of my daughters had a pizza. We split a dessert. The meal was a little pricey, but the food was a winner. I would return!

      Our waiter Johnathon was phenomenal! We had a party of 12, anything over 6 is usually the kiss of death, and our waiter forgot nothing! Our drinks came out quickly! The apps, more drinks and entree’s all came out hot, prepared very well and tasty. I ordered the short rib bolognese, which was delicious!! We would absolutely host events at The Foundry in the future!
