   Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. Food was very tasty and the staff were particularly friendly. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by the security outside the pub as I was waiting for my partner to finish in loos. Despite standing outside the entrance making no noise, and no fuss, I was harassed by one of the security men to move down to the end of the street as I “wasn’t allowed to wait outside the pub for my partner”. I was clearly not one of the Chelsea fans and explained I’d been for dinner and was just waiting 2 minutes for my partner, but they couldn’t seem to engage their brain sadly and refused to let me wait there. My partner initially couldn’t see me upon leaving and went back into the pub to try and find me, which wasn’t pleasant for her being surrounding by what seemed like hundreds of drunk men. I suggest you remind your security men of public laws and align them on how to treat customers after spending a not-insignificant amount in your restaurant. We will likely not be coming back here now after this. It’s left a sour taste in our mouths about the whole experience unfortunately

   Last two game days food hasn’t been great….not sure if it’s just a coincidence but this is our fave pub and quality is normally much better!

   Abbiamo cenato nella sala con i divani verdi vicino ad una finestra con le piante e il canniccio sul soffitto. c'era freddo veniva aria fredda anche se la finestra era chiusa. Troppo chiasso nel locale la gente grida per parlarsi La cameriera molto brava sul Cibo è quello che c'è scritto, niente di meno ma nulla di più.

   The fries/chips are delicious. The burger with pickled jam was very good, just be aware that burgers are cooked well. No pink insides. The banana cake is to die for- do not miss!! Atmosphere is very hygglig (cozy)! Lovely little pub and restaurant-highly recommend.

   Ambiance was good as always Service was lovely once we were seated. However, what could have been better is that I requested in my booking for a spot in the pub section but ended up with a table in the patio and we had to find our own table, no staff showed us our table. When we sat down the service was good though. Food was good though the beef was not as tender as I wished for and had quite a bit of fat on it unfortunately. I have had better Sunday roast, which is ashame as I like Fox and Pheasant normally.

   The food was lovely, maybe not the for how much you pay (for some, not all dishes), but what made the experience was the service. Please please, try the chocolate mouse! The waiters were amazing, great personalities and service. It was very noisy in the room so it was hard to have a conversation across the table ended up sticking with those next to me. Scotch eggs, sausages from the bar menu were great and good value! £40 for a steak and £30 for a Kiev when I would say the were basic seemed steep but the service made up for that. Will be back again to try other dishes.

   Très bon accueil, le personnel est prévenant et attentionné. La salle du restaurant est intimiste et chaleureuse, nous avons passé un très bon moment. Et les rôtis du dimanche sont savoureux ;)

    Warm welcome, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere fab food - just the right amount of choices , something for everyone . Good prices for quality dishes All delicious and served with a smile!I I would highly recommend this gem of a country pub in the middle of the city ! See you again soon !
