The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

Highlights include Sunday brunch, summer cocktails on the patio, a romantic date night, and dinner with friends.

    The atmosphere and the inside was really nice, but the only set back would be the chicken, it was flavorful but really dry. And the steak was also pretty dry.

    Great time as always. The review said the noise level was moderate. But, that level was great, so nice seeing people out enjoying themselves. The restaurant is so great, staff are always so friendly and hardworking. Love the food and atmosphere.

    Always fast very friendly service. Very nice proportions. Attentive service throughout the meal. Our go to place in Elora!

    We loved this place so much we went twice in less than 24 hours! First visit to Elora and had read the reviews so we booked our anniversary lunch here. They launched our lunch with comped celebratory drinks, and fed us fantastic meals. Then we grabbed a Sunday reso for the next day and chowed down on their all you can eat brunch. Can’t recommend this fantastic spot enough and we will be back!
