The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

Highlights include Sunday brunch, summer cocktails on the patio, a romantic date night, and dinner with friends.

    I have lost count of how many times I have ENJOYED Sunday brunch at The Friendly Society! Over time, I have brought almost ALL of my friends and they have ALL loved it too! I cannot say enough about the service. EVERY employee is efficient, polite, friendly … and smiley! The delicious tapas style menu is backed by an excellent chef and meets all dietary styles. The atmosphere is unique, warm and welcoming. Grab your friends, book well ahead, go on an empty stomach and enjoy this fun Elora experience! (I just wish that they gave stamps on a frequent user card!) ;)

    Charming location- we sat in high top tables near the window. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good quality but if you are not fond of sauces you should request on the side. Food quality was excellent but too much sauce / dressing for my taste!
