Bermondsey Bar and Kitchen, set in a former underground car park in the heart of Bermondsey Street with a fantastic view of the Shard is host to 2 large outdoor areas as well Donnelly's restaurant. Donnelly's brings together fresh, sustainable and ethical UK grown produce, in the form of delicious British sharing plates.
Our FrontYard is a festoon-lit, grassy strip with 24 bench tables running down each side and giant parasols available for the occasional summer showers. With Bermondsey Street at one end, and our BackYard at the other, we'd recommend you choose this garden if you want a more relaxed food and drink experience.
Please note, all tables are booked on a default 2hr time slot. If you wish to extend this please speak to our team.

*Please keep in mind we are only allowing groups of 6 per table in the restaurant, and groups of 8 outdoors

A bit rude when we first arrived but put a couple of tables together for us. First couple of drinks and food came at a reasonable time. Food was standard and what you expect at this kind of place. We didn’t go there for fine dining and didn’t expect it. After that the service was very very slow and poor. Although table service, we had to get up a couple of times to ask for drinks. So slow coming. We asked for desert menu but told the kitchen had closed even though no one had asked if we wanted anything else or warned us. Ok it’s a birthday so didn’t want to make a fuss. So ordered another round of drinks. Waiting for 20 minutes to be told they are just coming. After 30 minutes we had to ask twice to cancel order and for the bill. Difficult times I know and always try to keep that in mind but rude staff and very slow service. Maybe a one off but won’t be going back.

Had a very nice time with friends. The food was surprisingly good (tried the buffalo burger & chips and got to taste the margherita pizza). Waiters were lovely and super helpful!

Horrible food, not a particularly nice atmosphere and staff who are there for their own benefit not the customers.

Nice open space, loads of tables which makes a bit noisy, but great atmosphere. I would recommend trying the pizzas. And staff is super friendly and attentive.

The handling of closing time is incredibly heavy handed, and unnecessarily so. We started being served plastic glasses after 9.30pm which is a pretty dreadful drinking experience for a £6.50 pint. We asked what time they closed, which was 10.30pm and so bought another round at 9.50pm. As soon as the drinks arrived at 10.05pm we were then being hurried out of the door by security. They were behaving as though they were dealing with a rowdy crowd at the Euros - it was completely unnecessary and put a total dampener on the experience. This is the 2nd time I've had this at Bermondsey Yard, which used to be a favourite of mine. Now I feel like the staff have lost any sense of customer service.

Great drinks and service. Lots more outside tables than there used to be and under cover too so British Summer rain won't stop you having fun at this great Bermondsey Street favourite.

Great location and nice food Great waitress attending our table who refunded my friend’s dinner when the chips didn’t arrive with the steak. Would go again

Welcoming and helpful staff and an efficient ordering system. An attractive menu that failed to live up to the promise - over flavoured, soggy/cold. Not good value.

ran out of supplies and it was midday, no gluten bread options and the English breakfast was ok. No other sunday lunch options available apart from breakfast or a burger, no pizzas on sunday too, quite limited

Good buzzy outdoor (covered) place to eat and drink in Bermondsey. Simple burger fare with a tasty enough twist. Fewer beers on menu than I would expect in this area which seems to have become a craft beer destination. My son liked it enough to come again and he is a Londoner
