The George is Providence's newest piano bar and upscale casual dining restaurant featuring American fare, elevated comfort food, delightfully crafted cocktails, and live piano every Tuesday - Sunday.

Enjoy Brunch with Live Piano every Sunday from 10am to 1:30pm and dinner from 2pm to 5pm.

Our Speakeasy Lounge opens every Friday and Saturday evening at 7pm. Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. Live music starts at 9:30pm.

*Please Note* We will do our best to seat your party at your requested table upon confirming your reservation, but it is not guaranteed due to covid restrictions.

    Great food, excellent waitstaff, the maître D was amazing. Noise level was a little loud, but manageable Would go back in an instant . .

    Wonderful pre theater dinner. Scallops wrapped in bacon, crab & lobster ravioli, and lechee (milk cake) for desert. I don’t think I’ve had a better meal or dining experience!!! Our waiter was phenomenal, he knew we were going to the theater as was every other party in the restaurant, our cocktails and meal were served at a perfect pace. We so enjoyed the dining experience and we had more than enough time to make the show. We’re still discussing which was better the dinner or the show 😁

    We went to enjoy dinner before Hamilton. Ambience scored lower because we were the first table by the door, so it was a busy area. I enjoyed the Statler chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had the Bolognese and our friends had short rib mac & cheese, and the pork chop. I will say that, my friend who had the mac & cheese did indicate that it was on the cool side. They don’t serve traditional bread so check out the focaccia or garlic bread. I had some eating restrictions that night so we will definitely go back so I can enjoy other items. I also was not having a cocktail that night, but they did seem like they could make a mean martini.

    We were seated promptly. Our server Jeremy was polite, professional and checked in on us. The food was very good. The atmosphere was lively and a bit loud, but I am attributing that to being sat in the bar area. We did, however, enjoy our meal regardless

    Very good food and great drinks and the decor is cute. They have poor management of the reservations. We made a reservation for last Saturday a month in advance with a note that we were seeing an 8pm show at PPAC and to please let us know if we should move our reservation to earlier. When we arrived at our 6pm reservation we were not sat until 6:45 and rushed through our dinner. They did comp a round of drinks but the whole experience felt very stressful for what supposed to be a celebratory night. Again great food and drinks but if you are going to a show do not eat here before hand.

    The appetizers arrived before any beverages. The French onion soup was not prepared properly (wrong cheese and it was not browned). Our party was informed that there was no focaccia and passion fruit -though we were seated right as the restaurant opened on Friday evening, and both items are “specialties”. Our waiter was helpful in correcting what he could, but overall this was not a great dining experience for our party of 8.
