The Gourmet at Kenilworth offers quality fresh seafood and local ingredients in a casual, Nantucket-like setting.
The menu offers fresh seafood, oysters, steaks, sushi and inventive cocktails with a gourmet American flare. There are also signature dishes unique to this location. The restaurant is located in the new expansion, outside of the mall, next to Felipe’s. Also visit our other well known Restaurant Catonsville Gourmet.

Our waiter was very attentive. He brought a spoon when my husband, who ordered the excellent bouillabaisse, didn't have one. He also replaced the aioli/pink mayonnaise/yummy sauce - squeegeed garlic toast with plain garlic toast as described on the menu. My bookmaker salad was pretty good, although drenched in dressing. Salad chefs: less is more. I took half of it home and rinsed the dressing off for next day, with the dressing's flavor remaining. The Gourmet is a good place and we will return, but get salad dressings on the side. Note on the menu wording: "pre-fixed" should be "prix fixe". Common mistake.

We had a reservation for 2 for New Year's Eve, early evening. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The food came very quickly and was presented well and tasted delicious! We had never been seated on the side of the restaurant with the bar and it was a bit noisy, but not terrible. Every time we have eaten there the food has been excellent. Highly recommend!

It was the crowded and the service was so slow. Waitress forgot our appetizer and brought 2 of the wrong meals. Nothing else as done for the mistakes or acknowledged. Also would not let us use our gift cards bc they weren’t entrees but 2 adults got meals off the brunch menu. Very disappointed.

I needed a lunch spot with a variety of foods and ample parking for friends who were recovering from surgeries. This was a great location. The server was attentive. The crab and lobster dip was okay but the lunches we ordered were excellent. No complaints from anyone in our party. The only suggestion I have is to include the prices for all of the cocktails.

Food was fine. Service was mostly good too. They were “out” of the Cabernet by the glass. No apology, and I guess they have never heard of selling another wine they have by the glass instead of just by the bottle. I liked this place when they first opened a few years ago, but it is things like this that have prevented me from coming more often. Every time we come here, there is something stupid that detracts from the experience. The last time, they brought the appetizer after the mains. It’s a shame because the place has potential.

Food as always was great. Sat in the dining area for the first time. A little too loud. Service was fair. However always enjoy going there

Our first time there. Food was excellent but the service was not great. After asking twice for silverware and bread plate we got it ourselves from another table. By then the bread was cold. My soup had to be sent back to heat it was barely warm. We will try you again but not on a weekend. It is obvious you can’t handle a crowd.

This is an excellent spot for a friends luncheon! We enjoyed bookmaker salad (spectacular), the crab quiche, fish and chips and the shrimp salad! Crab soup is very good, a bit pricey. Smith Island cake... the best! And thanks to Aislinn C. our super server! Attentive and helpful!
