A story 10 years in the making, The Roastery is an experiential café unlike any other, a love letter to coffee and the memorable moments it creates. Housed within the historic Locomotive Workshops of South Eveleigh, The Roastery pays homage to its industrial past while providing an unforgettable experience for coffee lovers everywhere, letting you enjoy your brew amongst the very machinery that makes it possible.

    Kickstart your day with our set breakfast menu, created for 10+ people! * Sip a cup of tea or coffee. * Enjoy a selection of freshly baked pastries. * Select your choice of main: - Avocado toast with heirloom tomatoes, avocado & stracciatella with lemon oil & chilli flakes. - Leg ham & three cheese bechamel croissant with poached eggs, spinach & hollandaise. - Chilli eggs with braised eggplant, strained yoghurt, roasted tomatoes, chilli oil, mint & dill. - Cured salmon on sesame bagel, soft boiled egg, cream cheese, dill, pickles red onion, lettuce slaw & capers.                                                                 No need to visit if you are after good quality of food, coffee or service. This place only values with the ambience and all those social media that hyped about the cool deco. Service was terrible, waiters/waitress basically couldn’t be bothered serving us, as their attitude was definitely not friendly or approachable. Felt like it was my fault of even coming to The Grounds to eat. Coffee, no need to order those fancy drinks because all those whatever syrup will make it taste not like a coffee already. A drink or coffee that doesn’t taste like coffee costs you $12. We ordered 2 pastas both were very blain.

                                                                Amazing venue, every single detail was thought of, looked exactly like a factory. Finished breakfast to then accidentally get to go into the back to where the roasting happens and chat with the roaster about the process. Smell different coffees and learn how the process to roast. Highly recommend.

                                                                Such an amazing venue with plenty to see. The food is immaculate and the coffee is so delicious. Great for a date or group setting. Must try the Sausage & Egg Muffin also the Pancakes!!

                                                                Giving a bit of style over substance vibes. Super expensive for fairly mediocre food. Great vibes/decor but be prepared to pay a lot for the experience
