The Guild exemplifies a new and exciting take on the finest traditions of butchery, cookery and bar-keeping. The name is inspired by guild halls from the past, which served as a meeting places and secret societies for artists and merchants. Honouring local beef, game and fowl, and utilizing traditional cooking techniques over wood and coal, The Guild chefs are preparing a fitting homage to proud Canadian carnivores.

    Enjoyed the lovely atmosphere of the restaurant with it charming décor. The food and service were excellent, I also recommend the cocktails!

    The table was so small you couldn’t fit two appetizers on it. The waitress forgot to come by to take our order for a long time and didn’t get our bill when we said we were in a rush to go. They didn’t bring a new wine glass when switching from white to red and it took forever to get our drinks. The food was overpriced and not very flavourful. We had steaks and they were mediocre. The tables were so close together the person behind me hit me with her hair. Such a disappointment. I used to love this restaurant. Won’t be back.

    Not was I was used to getting at this establishment. I’ve been getting the same meal for my last few visits and portion smaller and quality not the same unfortunately.

    Service was essentially non existent. Within 2 hours of sitting down, we were served 1 drink and no one had taken our dinner order. One person’s drink didn’t arrive until after 3 requests, another’s dinner was delivered 20 minutes later than the rest. Overall made the 4+ hour dining experience very unenjoyable.

    This is a great place. It's a bit pricey but the food quality is good. Our stakes were excellent and the side Brussel sprouts were excellent. On a area for improvement note. They reversed the cooking of the stakes. I ordered medium rare and my wife order another kind of dish medium well. They cooked the meat reversely. They were still good though. I did complained, I do not like to spoil a nice outing with my wife - ;-)

    This restaurant was recommended to me by my son and it was a wonderful experience. The ambience was lovely and the service excellent. The steaks were done perfectly and our salmon was delicious. The only thing that would have been better, is to include a vegetable with the dinner and not have to buy on the side. We will be going return!

    Overall a great experience. Sadly the espresso machine is STILL out of order. Our server said it has been six months waiting for a part. Why not just buy a new machine????
