Rediscover your favorite American dishes at The Halyard restaurant at the Sound View Greenport on Long Island’s North Fork. Featuring local fish, produce, and wines, showcasing what has made this region a dining destination for generations. We aim to source and use seasonally driven, local ingredients to carefully curate a meal to remember. Our bar offers unique hand crafted cocktails and wines from near and far. Enjoy your meal with panoramic views of the Long Island sound from our seasonal outdoor deck or in our Piano Bar with live music from some of our favorite local musicians.                   Unexpectedly brought our kids for the weekend. For a place that seemed to have lots of kids the service was super slow. Our first round of drink were quick but the second took 20mins. Kids food came and a bit later ours did too. The lobster was good but the sides were sad. We are on the North Fork, make it happen kids! Dessert was nice, cookies were great! Espresso crème brûlée also great! Dessert saved us.

                  Super disappointed in our dining experience at the Halyard. Our appetizers - the tuna tartare and whipped ricotta - were under seasoned. The main course wagyu steak was served cold - same as our side of broccoli rabe. The only highlight of the meal were the French fries.

                  We recently dined at the Halyard and enjoyed our meal so much we returned several more times. The food is amazing. Our starters were the Whipped Ricotta, Fried Calamari and Crab Cakes. Every one of the starters were so delicious and the perfect amount of food to begin your meal. Our main courses ranged from Scallops, Chicken to the Lobster Pappardelle. The chef is absolutely amazing with how he creates each dish with their delicious flavors.( We added on the french fries and broccoli rabe which were also delicious.) We ended our meal with some fabulous desserts. We tried the Banana Toffee Sundae, Apple Cider Donuts and the Espresso Creme Brûlée. Each one of the desserts were tasty. Sharing all of these gave us a variety of tastes. We loved them all. I would definitely recommend trying a variety of meals and sharing. The other bonus is the wine selection. Bill will suggest a great wine to pair with your meal . His knowledge of wines is a wonderful addition to the restaurant and all they offer at the Halyard.

                  This has been our 3rd year spending Thanksgiving at the Halyard and each year it has been wonderful ! The buffet food choices are perfect and delicious ! Very elegant you don’t feel like you are at a typical buffet ! Fireplace , beautiful Soundviews, and a feeling of ambiance ! We will definitely be returning !

                  The Halyard is by far the best restaurant on the North Fork. The food, service, and views are second-to-none. Chef Nate's tuna tartare and pasta dishes were incredible. Could not think of a better place to visit for a special occasion.
