Rediscover your favorite American dishes at The Halyard restaurant at the Sound View Greenport on Long Island’s North Fork. Featuring local fish, produce, and wines, showcasing what has made this region a dining destination for generations. We aim to source and use seasonally driven, local ingredients to carefully curate a meal to remember. Our bar offers unique hand crafted cocktails and wines from near and far. Enjoy your meal with panoramic views of the Long Island sound from our seasonal outdoor deck or in our Piano Bar with live music from some of our favorite local musicians.                   We went for my early Birthday Weekend. We stayed next door at the Soundview-also highly recommend! The service, atmosphere and the AMAZING food are always such a pleasure! The bar is also a fun spot to go after or before. We will definitely be back again. We love to make a day trip out of coming here too.

                  Some dishes were very good a couple were lacking flavor making it just ok. Definitely small portions so if you are really hungry order extra. The food was average but the view is fantastic.

                  John provided us with amazing service and made for a memorable birthday dinner! Fantastic food was very impressive. although very loud and echoey in the room we were dining in. overall a great experience!

                  There was a problem with everything we ordered. But the restaurant tried to make things right. We have been there many times over the years and recently have been disappointed with the food. It’s a great location directly on Long Island Sound with the best sunset views on the Northfork. The staff is professional and friendly. We’ll give it another try sometime soon.

                  My husband and I stayed at Sound View for our mini-moon and had the most lovely dinner here! The servers were knowledgeable of my Celiac disease and need to eat gluten free which I greatly appreciated and we really had the best meal! The team was even sweet enough to give us a glass of champagne since we were newlyweds! Highly recommend the grilled octopus, half roasted chicken and the steak was incredible too - even our cocktails were amazing. This is a must-go when in Greenport!

                  We dined at the Halyard during the off-season and had a good meal. The highlights of our dinner were our entrees - the lobster stuffed pasta and duck confit cavatelli were both delicious and would recommend. The calamari appetizer was good. The whipped ricotta appetizer was delicious but the bread must have been warmed then set out too long so it turned hard and was cold upon eating. Overall good food but a bit pricey.
