Rediscover your favorite American dishes at The Halyard restaurant at the Sound View Greenport on Long Island’s North Fork. Featuring local fish, produce, and wines, showcasing what has made this region a dining destination for generations. We aim to source and use seasonally driven, local ingredients to carefully curate a meal to remember. Our bar offers unique hand crafted cocktails and wines from near and far. Enjoy your meal with panoramic views of the Long Island sound from our seasonal outdoor deck or in our Piano Bar with live music from some of our favorite local musicians. Watch the perfect sunsets fade into the horizon with your toes in the sand at our Low Tide Bar and join us as we live by and with the sea.

                  Super disappointed in our dining experience at the Halyard. Our appetizers - the tuna tartare and whipped ricotta - were under seasoned. The main course wagyu steak was served cold - same as our side of broccoli rabe. The only highlight of the meal were the French fries.

                  We recently dined at the Halyard and enjoyed our meal so much we returned several more times. The food is amazing. Our starters were the Whipped Ricotta, Fried Calamari and Crab Cakes. Every one of the starters were so delicious and the perfect amount of food to begin your meal. Our main courses ranged from Scallops, Chicken to the Lobster Pappardelle. The chef is absolutely amazing with how he creates each dish with their delicious flavors.( We added on the french fries and broccoli rabe which were also delicious.) We ended our meal with some fabulous desserts. We tried the Banana Toffee Sundae, Apple Cider Donuts and the Espresso Creme Brûlée. Each one of the desserts were tasty. Sharing all of these gave us a variety of tastes. We loved them all. I would definitely recommend trying a variety of meals and sharing. The other bonus is the wine selection. Bill will suggest a great wine to pair with your meal . His knowledge of wines is a wonderful addition to the restaurant and all they offer at the Halyard.

                  This has been our 3rd year spending Thanksgiving at the Halyard and each year it has been wonderful ! The buffet food choices are perfect and delicious ! Very elegant you don’t feel like you are at a typical buffet ! Fireplace , beautiful Soundviews, and a feeling of ambiance ! We will definitely be returning !

                  The Halyard is by far the best restaurant on the North Fork. The food, service, and views are second-to-none. Chef Nate's tuna tartare and pasta dishes were incredible. Could not think of a better place to visit for a special occasion.

                  We went for my early Birthday Weekend. We stayed next door at the Soundview-also highly recommend! The service, atmosphere and the AMAZING food are always such a pleasure! The bar is also a fun spot to go after or before. We will definitely be back again. We love to make a day trip out of coming here too.

                  Some dishes were very good a couple were lacking flavor making it just ok. Definitely small portions so if you are really hungry order extra. The food was average but the view is fantastic.
