Very nice ambience. Our server was attentive and pleasant. One of our meals was not as “hot” as our 93 father would have liked. We had a lovely evening!

Wonderful ambience with a nice bar. Wine selection was not the greatest unless you enjoy american wines. The wedge salad dressing tasted like it was from a bottle. My wife had a crab cake app and enjoyed it. Had the 48 oz porterhouse for two. It was not a great cut for $122. It was very good but the $$$$$ would have better spent at Mortons or even Na brasa. Our waitress Laura was very good and helpful. We split the steak, had one drink and no desert. It was new years eve but probably won’t repeat.

Great food and service. Nice menu, viewable on line. Not a big restaurant, but plenty of space between tables. Staff are professional and responsive. Steaks were perfectly cooked. Side dishes were enough for two people to share. We will definitely return.

Went to the Hawke for the first time on NYE. We had drinks at the bar before dinner. We had the mushroom soup and Caesar salad. Both were excellent. My husband had the filet and added the lobster tail. He said it was a 10/10. I had the sea bass. Very good. We loved the atmosphere and service was great. Which says a lot on NYE which sometimes can be disappointing because restaurants are so busy. We will definitely be back. Happy new years!!

I like this place and have been here many times. Service is attentive and friendly. The food is normally excellent but this time I was very disappointed. I ordered the Tuna with an Asian twist but instead receive a pile of stuff that was inedible. When presented, the plate was piled high with rough cut cabbage so much so, that nothing else on the plate could be seen. I guess this was supposed to the the “Asian slaw”. I dug through it , heaping it all on the bread plate in an attempt to see what else was on the plate. Remaining were mashed potatoes with large, unmashed hunks of potatoe here and there and the tuna, completely drowned in what tasted like a blend of Ray’s barbecue sauce and Kikoman teriyaki sauce. Totally destroyed what was probably a nice piece of fish. Altogether terrible flavors, poorly paired sides and the worst sauce imaginable with very poor presentation of a very bad dish. Sent the whole mess back after trying one piece of fish. Next was the tagliatelle with short rib. Nice dish, nice flavor but so overpriced. $47 for a plate of pasta is a New York City price. Lastly, the carrot cake was awful. The frosting was like white plastic and lacked any flavor at all. Surely they buy their desserts but no one tried this before adding it to the menu. Yuk! Be sure to read the menu carefully and send back anything not perfect. At these prices, they need to be on their best game.

Living in Lambertville, we often go to The Hawke and it remains on my personal "top 10" list of restaurants in the area. We have probably dined there about 20 times and it is consistently excellent. Our server, Donna, was amazing and entertaining. You just can't go wrong here.
