I made a reservation for three, and even with that, we waited 15 minutes for our table. The hostess was an absolute angel, polite, well-mannered, and the only redeeming part of the night. However, our server, Bri (or Bre), was the complete opposite. While she was friendly at first, she was completely inattentive for the rest of our 90-minute visit.
It took over 20 minutes to get three non-alcoholic drinks, which is unacceptable in any restaurant, let alone one in Beverly Hills. When our food arrived, it was just as bad. We ordered a steak medium, but it came out well-done. When we asked for it to be redone, our server assured us it would take no more than five minutes. Instead, we waited over 25 minutes, by which point one of us had already finished their meal, and the mac & cheese that came with the entrée was stone cold.
We asked the manager to intervene, and while the steak finally came out correctly within five minutes after that, the mac & cheese was still cold and hadn’t even been replaced as requested. We had to ask both the server and the manager again to address it. The lack of coordination and care was astounding.
The service was so bad that I felt no obligation to leave a tip which is something I’ve never done before. I’m not the type to demand free meals, but to be charged for a steak after such a terrible experience, especially when it wasn’t even brought out properly the first time, was beyond frustrating.
To make matters worse, the restaurant wasn’t even busy, so there was no excuse for the long waits and inattentive service. The food quality itself was mediocre at best. The steak was just okay after being redone, but the experience ruined the meal.
This was the most disappointing dining experience I’ve ever had, and the fact that it happened in Beverly Hills makes it even more shocking. Save your money and your time, there are far better places to eat.
