The Highlight Room’s real showstopper is the spectacular view of the city through a glass wall that spans the entire width of the room and folds back to allow access to the outdoor terrace. From there, guests can lift a cocktail to the expansive views — north to the Empire State Building, south to the Freedom Tower. The north and south sides of the room are lined with two-toned leather and velvet banquettes positioned to take advantage of the cityscape views from floor-to-ceiling windows.

The bar, set off by wooden arches and antique mirrors, complements the greenery, and elaborate, candelabra-style chandeliers allude to the candles that would illuminate the German garden as evening fell. Layers of premium materials — plaster, brass, velvet upholstery, caramel drapery, terrazzo tiles — add a dose of playful luxury. Although the bar is open to the public, the overall sense is of a swank member’s club, a private Eden commanding the sky above the Lower East Side. Must be 21+.

Very hip place with sweeping NYC views. Drink prices are on the high end, but well worth it for this type of experience.

Beautiful bar with great views. The three cocktails we tried were all excellent and the way staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Definitely recommend, sunset was beautiful too.

The ambience was breathtaking. The appetizers were delicious, especially the pretzel. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Not only was the location beautiful to walk into, but they seated us outside with a great view of the city. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, they even honored an anniversary desert I had asked for very elegantly!

Wow, We had such a great time! We arrived at 7pm, to catch the sunset. Not only did we get a beautiful sunset, the DJ played excellent music, the drinks and light bites were delicious. Our server, Vivian was so sweet yet very professional! We’ll be back soon, Thank you so much!

The $5 rose isn’t worth it in my opinion. But their cocktails are yummy. food is okay but the views and ambiance is well worth the hype. Music is good , some hip hop some untza untza good blend and still able to have a convo. Will be back
