The Hillside is a charming, rustic pub situated in the historic Georgian village of Hillsborough, County Down, only 15 minutes drive from Belfast city centre. The Hillside first opened its doors to patrons in 1752 and has been enjoying a busy trade ever since thanks to our excellent food and drinks selection and our friendly, welcoming service. We are renowned for our roaring open fires in the winter and our pretty cobble stoned beer garden in the summer.

    Food was excellent. However the customer service was terrible. We had to ask for our starter plates to be cleared and had to chase our main meal. We were overcharged and when we quiered our bill was snapped off us changed and didn't even offer an apology. It's a real shame the service was so poor as the food was faultless.

    Amazing. food was 10/10. Service was 10/10. Will definitely return. The cranberry sauce was amazing tasted like the smell of Christmas.

    Always love dinner in The Hillside. Good choice of food and lovely atmosphere. Staff are always helpful and chatty.

    The staff were friendly, but were slow with the drinks. The meal had a nice flavour but was overdone and dry.

    Nice meal. Only one vegetarian main option which was disappointing. Otherwise good evening.
