Farm to table is a movement around sourcing locally produced food and delivering the freshest product to the consumer. At the Hook & Plow, we truly believe food that comes directly from the source will yield a more fresh and more tasty product. Our menu is focused around all the wonderful delights that California has to offer, including lots of fresh seafood and seasonal farm fare. We will strive to be as sustainable, organic, and healthy as possible, while staying true to our California roots.

There weren't enough chips provided with the ceviche, and so we asked for a few more. I was very surprised that we were charged $2 for the extra chips when the problem was they didn't provide enough to begin with. The waiter also did not tell us before we got the bill that we would be charged. Very petty

My wife had the burger and said it was really good. Recommend the panko crusted avocado appetizer- you won't be disappointed! I had the brick chicken and it was very tasty.

We find the menu limited but, of the few things we order we really enjoy. Like everywhere else, we noticed "shrinkflation" has set in -- but, we had a great dinner overall and we will be back.

It was blah. I ordered a salad and received a pasta dish twice the price. I didn’t want to be rude and send it back so I kept it and ate a few vegetables. Within 20 minutes, I was so sick I couldn’t wait to get to a restroom. While the taste was ok, it certainly didn’t agree with me at all. The waitress was not customer service friendly

I ordered a crab cake and when I cut into it with my fork, it had a really fishy smell. I tasted it and it just tasted off. I told the server and she asks me if I wanted another one. So I said yes. It was cooked freshly ( the first one wasn’t even warm) but again, it smelled and tasted fishy and “off”. The server relayed the chef’s comments, that it was probably the seasoning. It definitely wasn’t! When I couldn’t eat the 2nd one either, she came back with the same comments from the chef, that it’s the seasoning, that the crab was totally fresh, that he just got it in, just made them, etc. I was tired of arguing so gave up. Fortunately she took it off my bill. I have had crab cakes there previously and they tasted fine and fresh. This wasn’t a seasoning issue. It tasted old and off. I know what fresh crab meat tastes like! No matter what the chef said. Through the server. If he felt that strongly he could’ve come out and spoken to me.

Everything surpassed our expectations, food (grilled salmon salad, one of the best I’ve ever had, furikake fries were to die for and the clam chowder was incredible), service and atmosphere (we sat outside and it was a perfect evening) were truly outstanding!

Pretty friendly service, chill outdoor dining space. Brunch menu felt a bit more limited on the breakfast side, more lunch options. I still enjoyed it overall, pretty tasty and good portions
