THE HOUSE is a historic oasis where people can eat, drink and celebrate day or night in true Florida Riviera style. Located directly on the New River referred to as the Venice of America, in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. This iconic structure is complemented by a charming eclectic use of vintage furniture with a whimsical twist, outfitted with mixed china, vibrant flowers and lush trees. Design and decor set the stage for the special a la carte food menu offered along with tasty sips and of course "Veuve" by the bottle or the glass. This tasty, fun and fashionable brunch experience is only offered by pre-reservation on Saturday & Sunday afternoons. The vibe is created for outdoor dining, indoor seating is available for those not so perfect days and those that prefer to sit inside.

    The “High Tea” experience, an age-old tradition of gathering in the afternoon to share proper tea service along with a delicate tower of finger sandwiches, fresh baked pastries and fruits. Enjoy the afternoon in one of Fort Lauderdale’s oldest homes. High Tea is a sumptuous meal enjoyed in the early afternoon between traditional meals offering beautiful spreads of bite size items designed to be shared paired with a choice of tea. We host HIGHT TEA on the 2nd floor porch overlooking the new river, the perfect ambiance to add a little luxury to any casual afternoon.     Wish I can give this place a better review, 30 minutes wait to get our first bottom less mimosa, then another 20 min to get the second one.. 90% OJ. Food was good over all. My son ordered a burger and was cut in the middle.. ask food runner why and he said Chef does that to check the temperature…. Really? PLOP! Just slow service. Will not go back again!

    We had tickets to the theater and this was a perfect place to have a nice dinner before the show! I will definitely come back next time!!!

    Since it was a beautiful night we sat outside overlooking river We shared brussel sprouts appetizer and ordered rainbow trout and pear pasta purses The food was outstanding and such generous portions we had to bring some home A lovely walk to the Broward afterwards Our go to restaurant for before theatre

    We came for brunch party of 2, I had made reservations but they were a little delayed. Hostess was nice, got us sat a little after 2pm. Food was great, the only thing that was a little off was the service. Our server seemed new possibly, and he seemed a little flustered. Overall it was ok the views were nice and ambiance was on point!! We will brunch again in the future.

    Our reservation started at 1:30 pm , sitting inside in a room facing the river . All is good at this point , tea was served within 15 minutes. Server was very polite , that’s when our dilemma began . It took 1 hour for our first food item to show up , soup . The disturbing thing was , we were surrounded by large parties that were seated 35 minutes after us and received their food items before us . Of course after the fact our server began apologizing but it really just continued on as it was a 2hour 40 minute tea lunch that was a very bad service disaster . Just felt ignored throughout the whole event . I hope this doesn’t happen to other patrons visiting this amazing setting for a restaurant.

    I had the worst experience at this place. I made the reservation months ago, arrived on time and there was no table prepared when I arrived. The service was slow, I had to run after the servers for everything from sugar for our tea to bisque . Our tea kept getting cold because the server brought bags and hot water, we asked from , cream, lemon and sugar. She returned 10 minutes later with only cream. This scenario repeated itself over & over. Whenever we asked for items, there was at least a 15 minute delay with each request. This problem happened so often, my party and I stopped asking for

    Service was really slow for our table. We were seated for almost 30 minutes before our drink order was taken and we had to ask for it to be taken. Later during our experience I noticed our service was downstairs with other tables. It was clear you are understaffed. You can’t possibly have one person serving both downstairs and upstairs for the High Tea. Really took away from the High Tea experience when you are constantly asking for service.

    Great venue and atmosphere. Food not memorable. Had to send back charred octopus tasted mushy and funky. Salmon add to salad was $16 and about the size of 2 fingers. Glass of wine one of those premeasured. 4 sips and gone.
