   This was my third visit to the Hunter S, the previous two visit were great however I’m not sure if there’s been a change of ownership or a turnover of staff since my last visit. First issue, I called to ask if it was possible to move our booking an hour earlier. The hostess I spoke with must be new to hospitality as she did not know how to speak to me as a customer. She made it clear that I was interrupting her lunch service, that if we moved our slot early it may be a shared table and this was throwing her whole table booking system out. We were there for just over an hour and in that time the venue was only 50% capacity so I’m not sure what the concern was. The wait staff were inattentive, we had to get their attention every time. Often they were just chatting away to each other at the bar, even at the end when we had asked for the bill they forgot. The person who took our order forgot what the one person with dietary requirements ordered, being a vegetarian they also served us cocktail sausages instead of the polenta fries we ordered. The nut roast was cold, the vegetables served included one carrot and one bit of cauliflower per person amongst a heap of greens beans, not really what you’d expect for a Sunday roast. This is a really nice pub but unfortunately we won’t be returning. Given the number of pubs and restaurants opening in the area I wish we tried somewhere new. I was in two minds about asking for service to be removed from our bill but we probably would’ve had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill to be reprinted.

   Staff was very kind and food was really good. Beef wellington is till amazing, taste hasn't changed in 10 years !! Great place !!

   It was just lovely! Such a cool, inviting vibe. The decor is quirky and arty, the servers were super-cool and the food was outstanding. Very nice Sunday afternoon all round! Thank you 🙏🏻
