The Inn South Stainley - a uniquely independent cosy Yorkshire country pub with rooms offering a superior experience, great food, outstanding service and a truly memorable visit.

Our country pub and bar area is at the heart of The Inn which offers classic and contemporary interiors, relaxed seating and open fires. Enjoy country pub classic food dishes including daily specials and fine wines, cocktails, real ales and craft beer. Head Chef Shane White and his team have created a menu inspired by the seasons and resources and celebrates the amazing produce North Yorkshire has to offer.

We celebrate the regions finest produce and products, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do, achieved with a smile and a traditional Yorkshire welcome for all.

    Enjoy some Swiss Winter tradition our ‘Fondue Experience’.  Served in the Garden Room over looking the winter gardens, traditional music, fluffy blankets share a fully set table with a fondue pot and all the accompaniments with friends to dip away with crusty bread, baby cornichons, potatoes, roasted sprouts, and charcuterie meats with a 125ml glass of Grüner Veltliner. Available on Saturday 21st December 2024 - £30 per person (Payable at the time of booking) Our ‘Fondue Experience’ is served from 1.00pm till 4.00pm (last table 3pm)

Ideal for large groups and those long awaited office party’s Served from Friday 22nd November 2024 until and including 24th December 2024 (Unavailable on Sundays) Dinner 5.00pm – 8.00pm £42 per person (Available for pre booked tables of 4+ only with a full pre order only) A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person is required to confirm the booking, full payment due 14 days prior to arrival and your full pre order as soon as possible after booking but no later than 14 days before arrival.     Went today for the first time. We both had the trio Sunday lunch, absolutely delicious. Service was excellent too, we will definitely return.

    This is our second time back here . It is AMAZING! The quality of the food is outstanding , the service is also absolutely brilliant . I genuinely can not recommend this place enough.

    Service was a bit slower than previously due to what looked like a couple of very large Christmas parties but I guess that's to be expected at this time of the year. Food, staff, and wine very nice as usual. I really liked the suggestion to order the cheeseboard at the beginning so that it had chance to come to room temp.

    Roast potatoes so hard you could not eat them,not very warm .chocolate on children pancake tasted bad , so left them.

    Excellent as usual! Only complaint was an over loud man, he was very loud. But he was having a good time! It didn't ruin our food or anything else.

    Cannot fault our Sunday lunch experience. Excellent food, well trained and friendly staff. The Inn was fully occupied but service was speedy and efficient. Heartily recommend eating here.
