The Irish Inn at Glen Echo has plenty of history...from a family home in the 30's to a biker bar in 80's. Re-Opened in 2003 as The Irish Inn at Glen Echo we offer a unique selection of food, beer and atmosphere in a quaint setting. The upscale casual menu offers fresh selection of Seafood and Hearty Meats centered around a core of authentic Irish cuisine. Whether you're in the mood for traditional Irish fare such as Lamb Stew, Shepherd Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage or Bangers and Mash. Certified Angus Cuts, a variety of Fresh Seafood Selections and an interesting blend of "hand held" options The Inn has it all. We combine a traditional Irish Pub with a white table cloth dinning experience including six private dining rooms, perfect for any occasion.

Our family has enjoyed wedding receptions, birthdays, holiday gatherings, and wakes at The Irish Inn over the past 20 years. It's always been an enjoyable experience thanks to great food, ambience, and a staff that is the best! Our latest monthly lunch with family was another great time! The dining room was cozy. Pub was busy. Service was great and everything I tried was delish. Highly recommend the Shepherds pie.

I’ve been to Glen Echo many, many times but lately I return saying to myself I’ll give it another chance. The food was good and the service not so good. While the food arrived quickly, the waiter was unable to put a smile on his face😢. I had the shellfish entree and had to ask for a seafood fork. Music in the bar was wonderful👍. So, I’ll go back to listen to the music and forget about ordering food.

One of the better places around DC for enjoying a meal outdoors but let down somewhat by inconsistent food that fails to merit its relatively high prices. Amongst other dishes, we enjoyed a good salmon dish and an OK seafood stew - rather watery with a small amount of seafood. The deserts - Guinness bread pudding and a cinnamon stick with ice cream were disappointing. The latter seemed to have been warmed up in a microwave and lacked any crispness - quite lifeless actually. The service was good and friendly.

We have eaten at the Inn for thiry+ years, but not been there for several years. Went for Saturday lunch and could have gone to a 5-Star for that bill! Three got crabcakes, so have to expect the price, I suppose. They were ALL crab, but a bit mushy. Bloody Marys were way too salty, and undrinkable (left them). Service was okay, but not really attentive to coming back to the table soon after food came to see what we needed (lemon, butter for potatoes). The BEST scones!
