The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.

The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

Even with a reservation, had to wait 20 min for a table. Staff left a tray, on a stand, covered in dirty dishes right next to our table for the majority of our meal. It was really distasteful. Food was good but the restaurant is located 30 min from our house and I would not take the time or make the effort to go to dinner here again.

The restaurant ambience was a mix of new and old world Italy with a sprinkling of modern glam! Excellent menu-food and cocktails and wine. The homemade pasta dishes -rigatoni ala vodka, lobster ravioli and mafaldi bolognese- were OUTSTANDING! The antipasto bar was soooo delish!! The wait staff and manager were very friendly and service was excellent. The only negatives were the moderate noise level and having to wait nearly 40 min for our reservation. That being said, I absolutely plan to return! Thanks for a lovely dining experience!!

Mixed review here from a party of 4. Appetizers, calamari and burrata were fantastic!! Main courses were VERY SLOW coming out, we had at least 45 minutes between apps being cleared and main courses being brought out. Spicy shrimp dish was not spicy and pasta was al dente. Veal was good as was the sole. Manager came and apologized for lateness of meals but didn’t offer any comps—and we had apps, drinks, a bottle of wine, main courses and desserts-but weren’t offered any compensation for the inconvenience. Table service was good but the kitchen service was not good at all. Atmosphere was nice but very loud-if you want a quiet dinner and enjoy the company this place may not be it. Will try again and hopefully have a better overall experience .

Food is very good and the atmosphere is lovely. Our waiters have always been friendly and informative. Our only complaints are on both times we have been here, our dirty plates sat on the table for a very long time and the noise level is very high. We did sit near the piano, which is nice, but if you want to have better conversation, sit away from it.

Went here for my Birthday dinner and it was wonderful. The food and dessert were excellent. The service was great too! Will be back.
