The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.

The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

We decided to have lunch at The Italiano, to see if we liked it. We did! We will be back for dinner. My husband and I shared a calamari appetizer which was delicious. Then he had a salmon entree and I had linguini with clams, white wine sauce. Both of us liked our dishes and we shared bites between us. Afterwards we had cappuccinos and shared a gorgeous tiramisu encased in a chocolate teacup! All of the meal was delicious, the service was great, and the ambiance was just right.

Beautiful if kitschy atmosphere (the animated murals are a little creepy but very Italian restaurant). The service is exceptional from the complimentary valet to hostess to server to manager. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre at best. The beef carpaccio was delicious and the grilled octopus ok but the entrees were either wildly salty or lacked flavor altogether. The cocktails are tiny and expensive. The wines by the glass are good and well priced but the bottle list has a 300%+ markup. We had heard mixed reviews and hoed for the best but with so many great options in Scottsdale, it is unlikely we will try it again.

Absolutely beautiful place to go eat, the food was amazing and our server Steven was top notch. We will definitely be back!

Always such a wonderful experience! Food is delicious, Michael the manager is fantastic, and if you are lucky enough to have Jennifer as your server , she is wonderful ! We love the Italiano!

The meal and the overall experience were fantastic and highly recommended. It’s a large open space so the noise can be a little much if you have a group of people at your table. Service by Kenneth was outstanding. Bread was meh. We had the octopus and calamari appetizers. Cannelloni, Bolognese, Carbonara for main courses. Lemon and chocolate desserts. Food was outstanding.

Our group had a wonderful time. Everyone took great care of us from the time we booked and had some requests and dietary restrictions to the dining experience itself. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional evening. The food was nothing short of amazing—each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail, bursting with authentic flavors that transported us straight to Italy. Whether it was the perfectly cooked pasta, the rich and savory sauces, or the indulgent desserts, every bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and passion. The service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive and friendly, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine warmth. But what truly set this experience apart was the personal touch from the General Manager, Michael Kosov. He came to our table multiple times throughout the evening, making us feel like honored guests. His hospitality and charisma elevated the entire experience, leaving a lasting impression.
