    We went for a New Year’s afternoon tea. We expect the high price tag at the Ivy. However, the experience was subpar. We didn’t get our tea until 15 minutes after all of our food came. They charge the same price for kids afternoon tea, and don’t offer any modifications without an extra charge (for example, sub out the salmon for a second chicken or cucumber ).  one of the three desserts was delicious the other two not a fan. The service staff we’re very social with each other requiring us to request assistance when we needed it. I don’t mind the price, it’s all about the experience and this time it fell short.

    We managed to get a table in the corner, so neither of us was looking at the wall. It was busy but we were served in good time and not rushed.

    A lovely place and made to feel very Christmassy as the season draws to a close. The Mushroom Sauce Chicken was fantastic as was the Chicken Milanese with truffle sauce. Always worth going bacl

    We waited too long for first drink. We were asked to vacate our table after an hour and half, with 5 mins notice, which if we had had dessert or coffee would have meant decamping to bar. It didn’t make for a relaxed evening.

    Always meet here as a group just before Christmas a really enjoy the novelty Christmas dishes.

    My second visit to The Ivy this month. The food was excellent. The restaurant was very busy which is always a good sign. Our group were unanimous in praising the food. I will be returning in the new year.
